Is the unit permanent or portable?
It can be built either way. Smart Cubby cabinets can be mounted stationary on hallway walls or configured on heavy-duty wheels to roll into a storage closet when needed. It is modular too so cabinets come in a variety of cubby counts.
How much time does monitoring take for staff?
Very little. Assigned staff take less than a minute to check cubbies two or three times a day. Because compliance is visible at a glance, any staff member walking past can also check status easily.
How does the system know when a student has a free period?
The system connects with your school management system (via Blackbaud SKY API) to automatically update individual cubby LED lights based on the student's live schedule.
